Mooier! / More beautiful!

        Deze kleine Hollandse blondine heeft vandaag een mini oog-make-over gekregen en ik ben zo blij dat ik het gedaan heb: we hebben hier een heeeeeel blije pop! :)

       This little Dutch blonde has had a tiny eye-make-over and I'm so glad I did that: here we have a veeeeery happy doll! :)

Again: Metamorphose /metamorfose !

       Gelukkig! Vandaag scheen de zon en was ik daarom in de gelegenheid om van lieve Meta wat meer foto's te maken...en dan vooral van haar 2e 'look'.
Met een echte clowns-neus en andere kleding verandert Meta helemaal! Het neusje is gemaakt d.m.v. de nat-vilt-techniek en kan door middel van een dun koord worden bevestigd. Het is zo leuk om haar te verkleden en er kan van alles met haar haren worden gedaan!

       Fortunately, the sun was shining today and I was therefore in a position to make some more pictures of sweet Meta ... especially of her 2nd look.  
With a real clown nose and different clothing Meta changed a lot! The nose is made ​​by the wet-felt-technique and can be tightened using a thin cord. It's so much fun to dress her and try all kind of  hairdo's !

Dag lieve Teddy! / Bye sweet Teddy!

      Het is zover: popje Teddy en haar lieve hondje Wolly gaan morgen aan de reis beginnen naar hun nieuwe thuis! Alles mooi ingepakt? Niets vergeten? Ik zal ze missen, die twee! Hier een paar foto's ter herinnering: .... :)

       

This is it: tomorrow little doll Teddy and her lovable dog Wooly will start their journey to their new home! All nicely wrapped? Forgotten anything? I will miss those two! Here a few pictures to remember them by: .... :)

BOY oh, BOY !

       Ik ben dol op deze pop. Hij is al een tijdje mijn profiel-fotomodel en ik ben zeer tevreden over hem. Maar nu heeft hij inmiddels ook slofjes, en vandaag heb ik de foto's van zijn..... nieuwe outfit! Van een vintage katoenen hemdje heb ik voor Boy een vest genaaid naar zijn eigen smaak... En een nieuwe broek: het jasje met broek waar hij mee op de profielfoto staat, houd ik bij elkaar als set voor een andere pop en daarom heeft Boy een nieuwe broek. Hoe vinden jullie het?

       I love this doll. He has been my profile-photo model for a while already and I am very satisfied with him. But by now he has warm slippers, and today I have some fresh pictures of his...... new outfit! I took a vintage cotton singlet and 'turned' it into a vest for Boy, to his own liking... And a new pair of trousers: the jacket and trousers he had before will be kept together as a set for another doll and that's why  Boy has new trousers now. What do you think about it?

Hier is Lauren ... :)

       Lauren is een Waldorfpop met heel lichte huid en gitzwart haar. Zij kan eigenlijk alle kleuren dragen: alles staat haar mooi! Met haar dikke bos haar kunnen de mooiste kapsels worden gemaakt zoals vlechten, halve of hele staart, noem maar op. Het is ook zo leuk om zelfgemaakte en zelfgehaakte haarspelden met vlinders, bloemen etc. voor deze pop te maken. Ik hoop dat Lauren eens bij iemand zal komen die dat allemaal voor haar gaat doen! 
Wat ik voor haar gemaakt heb zijn: Een gehaakte zonnehoed van katoen met wol, bijpassend gebreid hesje van wol en wollen laarsjes met dik vilten zool, onderbroekje van tricot, genaaid jurkje van wol/tricot en een kraagje met elastiek dat overal omheen kan (om haar hals als kraag, om haar hoed, of als haarelastiek). Oja, Lauren heeft grijze ogen......!

Lauren is a Waldorf doll with very light skin and jet black hair. She can actually wear all colors: everything looks beautiful on her! With her thick bundle of hair you can create the most beautiful hairstyles using braids, half or full tail, you name it. It's also much fun to make her handmade and crocheted hairclips with butterflies, flowers etc. 

I hope Lauren will some day come to live with someone that will do all these things for her!

What I made for her: A crocheted hat of cotton & wool, matching knitted vest of wool and woolen boots with thick felted sole, undies of tricot, sewn dress wool/tricot and a collar with elastic for multiple purposes  (around her neck as a collar, around her hat, or a hair elastic). Oh, Lauren has gray eyes ......!

Fijne dag!

Blote bips / naked bumm

      Ik vind het licht vandaag niet echt perfect om foto' s te maken, maar ik wil het niet nogmaals een dag uitstellen om jullie kennis te laten maken met mijn laatste creatie: haar naam is Lauren. Het is misschien een vreemde manier van kennis maken, maar de eerste foto die ik op het blog zet, is er een van Lauren' s bips! De reden hiervoor is dat ik deze keer geen label heb mee genaaid op haar lichaam,  maar zoals je ziet draagt zij wel mijn initialen: AF
Een dezer dagen maak ik een eigen pagina voor haar, zoals ik ook voor de andere poppen heb gedaan. Uiteindelijk is het wel de bedoeling dat zij een nieuw thuis vindt, maar ik moet natuurlijk eerst eens nog heel vaak naar haar kijken en heerlijk genieten van hoe zij is geworden!!!


  I think the light today is not really perfect to make pictures but I do not want to postpone another day to introduce to you my latest creation: her name is Lauren. It might look like a strange way of getting to know someone, but the first picture I put on the blog, is one of Lauren's bum! The reason for this is that I have not sewn a label on her body this time, but as you can see she is wearing my initials: AF

One of these days I'll make Lauren her own page, as I did for the other dolls.  Ultimately it is the intention that she will find a new home, but of course I will need some time to look at her and enjoy the way she turned out!!

Terug van vakantie! / Back from holidays!

       Het was leuk om op vakantie te zijn, maar thuis is het ook weer fijn. Ik ben nog even van alles aan het doen voordat ik een nieuwe pop ga maken. Bovendien is het geweldig lekker weer en ben ik voorlopig buiten te vinden waar ik beeldhouw in hout totdat het kouder en natter wordt.....

Zodra ik mijn nieuwe rasta muts of gebreide konijntje af heb, plaats ik hier de foto's, maar op dit moment heb ik geen nieuwe. Daarom deze foto's voor de gezelligheid:

       It was nice to be on vacation, but being back home is also fine. I'm doing a bit of everything before I'm going to make a new doll again. Besides that, because of the great warm I can be found outside where I sculpt in wood until the weather gets colder and wetter .....

Once I finish my new rasta hat or knitted bunny, I post the pictures here, but at the moment I have no new pics. I found these ones to chear up this post:

Zomers setje voor pop Adene / Summer outfit for doll Adene !

       Bij het korte broekje heeft Adene nu een jasje -sluitend met klittenband- van katoen: heerlijk voor de zomer...! Het setje kan natuurlijk ook prima dienst doen als pyjamaatje, maar het jasje past net zo goed bij de lange broek van zachte velours met twee ruime zijzakken. En wat mij betreft kan het setje ook onder het gebreide jurkje gedragen worden hoor! Door de passende kleuren van Adene's garderobe kunnen de poppenkleertjes op allerlei manieren gecombineerd worden! Volgens mij is zij nu blij met wat ze heeft en ze blijft nog een poosje op mijn blog. Indien iemand haar zou willen aanschaffen en nog een ander kledingstuk erbij wenst, zoals bijvoorbeeld een mutsje: stuur me gewoon een mailtje met die wens!  Hier de foto's van het kleding setje dat ik pas gemaakt heb:

With her shorts Adene now has a jacket -Velcro closure- made of cotton: great for summer...! Of course this set  can perfectly work as pajamas, although the jacket also suits the trousers of soft velor with two large side pockets. And in my opinion the cute cotton outfit can be worn under the knitted dress just as well! Because of the matching colors of Adene's wardrobe, the clothes of the doll can be combined in many ways! I think this doll is happy with what she has now and she will hang around for a while here on my blog. If anyone would like to buy her and wishes for another garment, such as a hat for example: just email that wish to me! Maak kennis met / meet: Waldorf pop / doll Adene

      Hier een voorproefje, van een heerlijke pop die tussen mijn handen is ontstaan! Ik ging een pop maken... maar kreeg Adene.. ze is een klein wondertje, zo lief en mooi! 
Ik wist van tevoren niet dat ze zo zou worden, een prachtige verrassing! Haar naam werd mij ingefluisterd...het betekent 'teder' en past helemaal bij haar.
Het is nu bedtijd, maar morgen komen meer foto's van Adene en wat bij haar hoort.

Here's a preview, a delightfull doll that came into existence between my hands! I was going to make a doll ... but got ADENE .. she's a small miracle, so sweet and beautiful! I did not know in advance that she would become like this, such a wonderful surprise! Her name was whispered to me ... it means 'tender' and really suits her just fine.It is time for bed now, but tomorrow I will show you more pictures of ADENE and what belongs to her.

Rasta muts / Rasta hat

Lieve mensen
       Deze keer heb ik een echte Rasta muts gehaakt, met tamelijk fijne katoen en volgens mij is het project goed gelukt! Ik heb het patroon weer zelf ontworpen. De hoofdomtrek voor deze muts moet maximaal 56 cm zijn en je kunt de muts dragen met je haar erin of eronderuit: staat allemaal mooi. Het is stevig gehaakt, maar toch soepel! Als je interesse hebt kun je kijken op Etsy!


       This time I made a real Rasta hat! I used quite a fine cotton yarn and I think the project is well done! I made my own pattern again. The head circumference that will fit this hat measures about 22 inch and  you can wear the hat with your hair in it or coming down from under it: it all looks lovely. 
The hat is crocheted firmly, but is still supple! When you're interested you can take a look on Etsy!

Curls! Krullen!

       Eindelijk weer iets op mijn blog te melden...het heeft even geduurd en ik heb ook nog niet alles klaar. Omdat ik vorige week al iets beloofde te melden, hier alvast een voorproefje van wat komt: een verlegen popje dat 'Curls' (krullen) heet. Curls houdt van veel kleuren en heeft ook een ietwat chaotische garderobe! Ook over een knuffeltje hebben we het nog...wel of geen beestje...en zo ja: wat voor een? Misschien hebben jullie een idee? Ik begin straks aan haar laarsjes en dit zijn de eerste foto's, kijk zelf maar:

       Finally I have something to post....it took a while and I haven't got everything ready yet. Because I promished pictures of my latest doll last week, I will show a preview of what is coming: a shy doll called 'Curls'. Curls loves colors a lot and she has a somewhat chaotic wardrobe! We are still discussing ... pet (little stuffed animal) or no pet ... and if so, what kind? Maybe you have an idea? I will soon start on her boots and these are the first pics, see for yourself:
