Inspiratie! / Inspiration!

       Het is waar: ik ben een beetje blijven hangen in ditjes en datjes de laatste tijd. Maar nu heb ik VEEL inspiratie om een grote pop te maken! De ditjes en datjes zijn afgerond en van het bruidspaar is nu elk detail klaar  :)
Toen ik de wol ging pakken om aan de basis voor mijn nieuwe pop te beginnen, vond ik nog wat dingen die ik al had gemaakt...... en zo komt het dat ik nu aan DRIE grote hoofden tegelijk ben begonnen en ook nog een klein popje heb liggen!
     
       It's true: I got a little lost in bits and pieces lately. But now I am VERY inspired to make a big doll! The bits and pieces are completed and so is every detail of the bridal couple  :)
When I was getting the wool to start the basis of my new doll, I came across some parts I made before..... and that's why I ended up making THREE big heads in stead of one, plus a very little one!

Nieuw thuis! / New home!

       Deze foto wil ik graag even plaatsen! Het is Klein Herdertje, helemaal in Australie aangekomen enkele weken geleden... De pop die hem omarmt, is Bonnie :)
En raad eens wat: diezelfde Bonnie woont sinds vandaag...... in Nederland!
Bonnie brengt een glimlach op mijn gezicht, iedere keer als ik naar haar kijk, ik vind haar superleuk!
Het is de eerste keer dat ik een pop van een andere poppenmaker heb gekocht en dat is echt een heel speciaal gevoel! Als ik eens tijd heb, ga ik nog wat aan haar garderobe toevoegen :)

 I would like to post this picture! It's Little Shepherd, he arrived in Australia a few weeks ago ... The doll that embraces him is called Bonnie :)  
And guess what: that same doll Bonnie arrived today to live in ...... the Netherlands!  
Bonnie brings a smile to my face every time I look at her, I think she is super cute!  
It's the first time I've bought a doll from another doll maker and that's a really special feeling! As soon as I have some spare time, I'm going to add something to her wardrobe :)

Pop in de maak... / Doll in the making...

       Er was een tijdje oponthoud doordat er andere dingen moesten worden gedaan, maar eindelijk  kan ik weer in mijn poppenkamer vertoeven! De pop die jullie hier zien, had al klaar moeten zijn maar het zat nogal tegen met het haar. De wol die ik ervoor uit koos, was alleen getwist (dus gesponnen van een enkele draad) en ik vond het haar daardoor niet sterk genoeg. Een kind moet toch wel eens aan het haar kunnen trekken! Ik besloot dat het een teken was dat het van ander garen moest worden gemaakt en na veel wikken en wegen heb ik een dunnere wol gekozen die veel sterker is, maar wel 100 wol natuurlijk. Het zal nog even stevig doorwerken worden maar ik ben nu al gek op haar!
Om verkoop te bevorderen heb ik in mijn Etsy shop de prijzen behoorlijk verlaagd en ik heb ook bedacht dat niet iedereen het nodig vindt dat ik een hele garderobe bij de pop maak. Daarom kleed ik de pop van top tot teen: gewoon 1 outfit, zodat ik de prijs lager kan houden.
Eventueel kan er extra kleding besteld worden, dat is geen probleem, gewoon even mailen.
Hier dan een preview: een naam heeft ze nog niet............

       There was a time delay because there were other things to be done, but finally I can work again in my dolls room! The doll that you see here, should have been ready for purchase already but I was rather disappointed with the hair. The wool I choose to make it, was only twisted (= spun from a single thread) and I found the hair not strong enough. A child should still be able to pull the hair every now and then! I decided it was a sign that it had to be made from another yarn ​​and after much deliberation I chose a thinner wool which is much stronger, but also 100 percent natural wool. So I am not ready with this doll still, but I'm already crazy about her!
To promote sales, I quite reduced the prices in my Etsy shop and I also realized that not everyone finds it necessary that I make an entire wardrobe for each doll. That's why I will dress the doll from head to toe, just one outfit, so I can keep the price lower.

Optionally extra clothes can be ordered, that's no problem, just mail me!

Curls is looking for a home... Krullenkopje zoekt een thuis....

       Het is weer eens een beetje hectisch geweest, maar ik heb het toch nog gered om in ieder geval enkele foto's te maken zodat ik mijn belofte kan nakomen: hier is Krullenkopje!
Ik ga er niet veel woorden aan besteden, het lijkt me meer iets om naar te kijken...
Wat ik wel graag wil vermelden is dat de materialen voornamelijk katoen en wol zijn en het een popje is dat op je hand past. Ze heeft dezelfde maat als Bonita en Snowy.
Krullenkopje is een echt zonnekindje: ze heeft een mooie zonnehoed en krijgt bijpassend een lief geel jurkje: zoiets als op de foto. Het gele jurkje is te koop, maar niet voor Krullenkopje: zij krijgt haar eigen exemplaar. Omdat ik moe ben, ga ik lekker slapen, morgen gaat de wekker weer vroeg. Maar ik plaats dan meer foto's. Nu stuur ik dit berichtje vanaf mijn blog naar fb, dan is er alvast iets te zien...

       Things have been hectic around here once again, but I did manage to make some pictures since I gave my word: here is Curls!
I won't spend too much words on it: it seems to me it is something to look at....
What I would like to mention is that the materials are mostly cotton and wool and the little doll fits on your hand. She has the same size as Bonita and Snowy.
Curls is a real sun child: she has a nice sun hat and gets a maching sweet yellow dress: something like the one on the picture. The yellow dress here, is for sale, but separately. Curls gets her own copy. I am going to sleep now, because I'm exhausted and the alarm will go off early again tomorrow. But I will add some more pictures tomorrow. For now I will share this post on fb, so there will be something to see....

Nog even en dan ..... / Just a little longer and then .....

       ....hoop ik de garderobe van kleine 'Curls' (oftewel Krullenbol) af te hebben gerond en het is mijn plan om dan de draad weer op te pakken waar ik gebleven was met Boy! Hij is mijn profielfotomodel, maar de arme jongen heeft nog geen schoentjes! Bovendien wil ik nog wat meer kleding voor hem maken voordat ik hem 'klaar om te gaan' kan noemen. Houd mijn blog of facebook maar in de gaten, het duurt niet lang meer.
 Heerlijk he, dat we buiten eindelijk het bewijs zien en voelen dat het voorjaar is begonnen!?

       ....I hope to have completed little 'Curls'' wardrobe and after that I want to pick up where I left with Boy! He is my profile picture model, but the poor guy doesn't have any shoes yet! Besides that I want to make him some more clothes before I can call him 'ready to go' . Just keep an eye on my blog or facebook, it won' t take long.
Ain't it lovely, to finally see and feel proof that Spring has arrived!?

Bezig bijtje... / Busybusy ...

       Het is soms een tijdje stil op mijn blog, maar dat betekent niet dat er niets gebeurt hoor! Ik ben weer eens in de 'doe van alles tegelijk'- modus!
Een rasta muts, een nieuw klein popje, een klein vriendje voor een nieuwe grotere pop en een klein vriendje voor Snowy en een muts voor een grotere pop...... Ik heb er echt zin in! Hier alvast een kijkje in de poppenkamer (de gevilte paddestoel had ik al):

       Sometimes there is a silence for a while on my blog, but that doesn't mean that nothing happens though! I am once again in the "multitask" mode! 

A rasta hat, a new small doll, a little friend for a new larger doll and a little friend for Snowy and a hat for a larger doll ...... I'm really inspired! Here's a preview in my dolls room (the felted mushroom I had already):

Waldorf pop bijna klaar / Waldorf doll nearly ready

       Hoewel ik eigenlijk nog niet helemaal klaar ben, wil ik alvast een kijkje geven op mijn werk. De pop's naam is Snowy, vanwege haar haarkleur. Het is de bedoeling dat zij meerdere kledingstukken krijgt en ik heb ook plannen voor een lief knuffeltje... Er is nog een hoop te doen! Ik hoop mijn blogbezoekers alvast wat leuks te laten zien door middel van deze foto's en werk intussen snel verder!

        Although I have not quite finished, I already want to give a peek at my work. The doll's name is Snowy, because of her hair colour. The idea is to give her several garments and I also have plans for a cute stuffed animal ... There is still a lot to do! I hope to show my blog visitors already something fun through these photos and now carry on working again!

Hele kleintjes / very little ones !

       Zo noem ik ze: hele kleintjes! Toen ik Bonita had gemaakt, wilde ik nog een klein popje maken en ook mobiel, dus in een koffertje. Zo gezegd, zo gedaan en er ontstond een popje...maar tijdens het proces was ik ook bezig met een volgende en dit weekend heb ik ineens twee popjes erbij! Dit maatje is heel wat anders want er komt een boel gepriegel bij kijken en schrik niet: bij het popje met wit haar ben ik meer dan 5 uren non stop bezig geweest met het opnaaien van de haren (een voor een) dus je kunt niet echt zeggen dat een klein popje minder werk is! 
Het weekend is weer voorbij en morgen moet ik gewoon weer werken, dat houdt in dat ik van de week tussendoor aan de kleertjes ga werken. Ik heb het kleurenpalet voor "Sneeuwtje" al uitgezocht: het past bij haar reis koffertje....
Wordt weer vervolgd hoor!

Little Waldorf dolls with no clothes yet!

       That's what I call them: very little ones! After making Bonita, I wanted to make another little doll that is mobile, so in a suitcase. So that is what I did and soon there was a doll...but during the process I worked on another one at the same time and that's how I suddenly have two new dolls! This size is quite different because it takes a lot of fiddling and you may not believe this: the white doll's hair took me more than 5 hours non stop to get sewn on (one by one) so one cannot say that making a little doll is less trouble!
The weekend has passed and tomorrow is another working day, so I will work on the dolls clothes in between through the week. I have the color palette for "Snowy" all sorted out: it suits her travel suitcase ....

My shop online!

       Een tijdje ben ik heel druk geweest met van alles, waaronder het opzetten van een online winkeltje voor mijn handgemaakte items en Annasoerpoppen. Ik ben blij dat het nu gelukt is, zodat ik nu elke vrije minuut bezig kan zijn met wat ik het liefst doe: creëren!
Ter verduidelijking: als iets eenmaal  in mijn winkeltje staat, kan het niet meer via mijn blog worden aangeschaft, dit zijn nu eenmaal de regels van Etsy, en terecht. 
Staat een creatie nog op mijn blog, met prijs erbij, dan kan het gewoon via mijn email worden aangeschaft.
Ik ben van plan om leuke kleding en accessoires aan mijn winkeltje toe te voegen en in de nabije toekomst zelfontworpen patroontjes voor kleding voor de poppen...!

       For a while I was very busy with all kind of things, like putting up an online shop for my handmade items and Annasoerdolls. I'm glad it's done now, so I can fill every free minute with my favorite activity: creating!
To clearify the rules of Etsy: once an item can be bought on Etsy, it can' t be purchased through my blog anymore. 
However, every creation on my blog with price there (on the doll' s page) can just be purchased through my blog (through email).
I intend to add nice and lovely clothes and accessories to my shop and in the near future some patterns for dolls clothes, designed by me, Annasoer....!
