BOY oh, BOY !

       Ik ben dol op deze pop. Hij is al een tijdje mijn profiel-fotomodel en ik ben zeer tevreden over hem. Maar nu heeft hij inmiddels ook slofjes, en vandaag heb ik de foto's van zijn..... nieuwe outfit! Van een vintage katoenen hemdje heb ik voor Boy een vest genaaid naar zijn eigen smaak... En een nieuwe broek: het jasje met broek waar hij mee op de profielfoto staat, houd ik bij elkaar als set voor een andere pop en daarom heeft Boy een nieuwe broek. Hoe vinden jullie het?

       I love this doll. He has been my profile-photo model for a while already and I am very satisfied with him. But by now he has warm slippers, and today I have some fresh pictures of his...... new outfit! I took a vintage cotton singlet and 'turned' it into a vest for Boy, to his own liking... And a new pair of trousers: the jacket and trousers he had before will be kept together as a set for another doll and that's why  Boy has new trousers now. What do you think about it?

Nieuwe kleertjes voor / New clothes for ... Boy

       Klein berichtje tussendoor: ik ben bezig met de kleertjes voor Boy. Omdat ik een vintage gebreid katoenen hemdje gebruik om voor hem een vest te maken, moet ik veel met de hand doen. Dat neemt veel tijd maar en helaas komen er steeds allerlei dingen tussendoor, maar het is nu bijna af...... ik ben blij met het resultaat!

       Short update post: I am working on Boy's cloths. I have to sew a lot by hand, because I am using a vintage cotton singlet to make this doll's vest. It all takes up a lot of time and unfortunately things keep coming in between, but now it's almost done..... I am happy with the result!

Nieuwe foto' s en plannen voor Boy / New pictures and plans for Boy

      Vandaag was het licht buiten prima om binnen wat plaatjes te schieten en ik ben blij dat ik nu wat betere foto' s heb van Boy. Hij is een echte Waldorf pop met soepele armen en benen en echt een lekkere speelpop. Daarom wil ik ook nog wat kleertjes voor hem maken die iets losser zitten dan het bruine pak dat ik maakte. Het pakje is wel heel mooi en ik ga het gebruiken voor een volgende pop...

In ieder geval heeft hij nu gehaakte slofjes (van acryl, het garen verloopt van kleur en dat vond ik leuk) en een boxershort om in te slapen. Ook de wollen vestjes met capuchon, een met lange mouwen en de gekleurde zonder mouwen, zijn van Boy.

       Today the light outside was good to shoot in some pictures inside and I'm glad I now have some better pictures of Boy. He is a real Waldorf doll with flexible arms and legs and a really nice doll to play with. That is why I will also make some clothes for him that are slightly looser than the brown suit I made​​. It's my intention to make it easy for a child to dress him up. The suit is very nice and I'm going to use it for a next doll ...

In any case, the crocheted booties (of acrylic yarn that changes colour while using it and I liked that) and boxers to sleep in. Both woolen jackets with hood, long sleeves and colored sleeveless, are definitely for Boy. More photo' s on the page of doll Boy >>>

Hier is Lauren ... :)

       Lauren is een Waldorfpop met heel lichte huid en gitzwart haar. Zij kan eigenlijk alle kleuren dragen: alles staat haar mooi! Met haar dikke bos haar kunnen de mooiste kapsels worden gemaakt zoals vlechten, halve of hele staart, noem maar op. Het is ook zo leuk om zelfgemaakte en zelfgehaakte haarspelden met vlinders, bloemen etc. voor deze pop te maken. Ik hoop dat Lauren eens bij iemand zal komen die dat allemaal voor haar gaat doen! 
Wat ik voor haar gemaakt heb zijn: Een gehaakte zonnehoed van katoen met wol, bijpassend gebreid hesje van wol en wollen laarsjes met dik vilten zool, onderbroekje van tricot, genaaid jurkje van wol/tricot en een kraagje met elastiek dat overal omheen kan (om haar hals als kraag, om haar hoed, of als haarelastiek). Oja, Lauren heeft grijze ogen......!

Lauren is a Waldorf doll with very light skin and jet black hair. She can actually wear all colors: everything looks beautiful on her! With her thick bundle of hair you can create the most beautiful hairstyles using braids, half or full tail, you name it. It's also much fun to make her handmade and crocheted hairclips with butterflies, flowers etc. 

I hope Lauren will some day come to live with someone that will do all these things for her!

What I made for her: A crocheted hat of cotton & wool, matching knitted vest of wool and woolen boots with thick felted sole, undies of tricot, sewn dress wool/tricot and a collar with elastic for multiple purposes  (around her neck as a collar, around her hat, or a hair elastic). Oh, Lauren has gray eyes ......!

Fijne dag!

Blote bips / naked bumm

      Ik vind het licht vandaag niet echt perfect om foto' s te maken, maar ik wil het niet nogmaals een dag uitstellen om jullie kennis te laten maken met mijn laatste creatie: haar naam is Lauren. Het is misschien een vreemde manier van kennis maken, maar de eerste foto die ik op het blog zet, is er een van Lauren' s bips! De reden hiervoor is dat ik deze keer geen label heb mee genaaid op haar lichaam,  maar zoals je ziet draagt zij wel mijn initialen: AF
Een dezer dagen maak ik een eigen pagina voor haar, zoals ik ook voor de andere poppen heb gedaan. Uiteindelijk is het wel de bedoeling dat zij een nieuw thuis vindt, maar ik moet natuurlijk eerst eens nog heel vaak naar haar kijken en heerlijk genieten van hoe zij is geworden!!!


  I think the light today is not really perfect to make pictures but I do not want to postpone another day to introduce to you my latest creation: her name is Lauren. It might look like a strange way of getting to know someone, but the first picture I put on the blog, is one of Lauren's bum! The reason for this is that I have not sewn a label on her body this time, but as you can see she is wearing my initials: AF

One of these days I'll make Lauren her own page, as I did for the other dolls.  Ultimately it is the intention that she will find a new home, but of course I will need some time to look at her and enjoy the way she turned out!!
